Since taking the daunting step and going freelance 5 years ago, I have worked on a range of events both in my home town of Brighton and further afield in the UK. I was previously working in theatre venue management and also volunteering at festivals before winning my first contract to produce a film & tv awards ceremony at the Hilton on Park Lane. Piecing together the puzzle of an event in a safe, entertaining and creative way is different with every project. Planning, budget and site design are key areas to the success of an event and I work on all aspects of these whilst maintaining strong communication with the end client.
I have specialised in live outdoor events in recent years and relish the challenge of a green-field site, bringing a strategic & level-headed approach to every event...and a smile too!
As a very keen believer in Health & Safety for staff, client and audience alike, I aim to constantly update my qualifications to show this. I hold IOSH Managing Safely Certificate, a Personal Licence, First Aid At Work (4 day), have attended workshops in Crowd Dynamics and Fire Safety and hold Public Liability Insurance of £2million.
I am also very keen to reduce the impact on the environment that the events I am involved with have and encourage every client to implement a Green Policy.
